About HXR Components.

HXR Components is an independent MTB components brand, born in Annecy.
We develop technical, durable products designed for demanding riders, with a craft-driven and innovative approach.

The DNA and values of HXR Components, specialist in MTB product innovation

It was in Annecy, at the heart of an iconic mountain biking region, that Romain Olmos founded HXR Components in 2015. A lifelong cycling and mechanics enthusiast, he brings to the brand experience gained on every kind of terrain:
rider, mechanic, tester, product manager and then importer. This path led to one conviction: the best innovations
are those that simply meet riders' real needs. HXR therefore develops innovative, reliable
and effective MTB components, designed to improve the riding experience and support every rider, from enthusiasts to racers.

MTB passion

At 12, Romain discovered mountain biking almost by chance. At the time, he was on the French junior team... in kung fu. A bet made on Father's Day — riding from Paris to Italy by mountain bike without knowing anything about the sport — completely changed his path. On the road, he met the Italian legend Corrado Hérin: it clicked instantly.

Back in the Paris suburbs, Romain gradually gave up kung fu to devote himself entirely to mountain biking. He rode with the big names of the time: Stéphane Jany, Karim Amour, Cedric Gracia, Fabien Pedemanaud... and became a semi-pro rider, until a serious accident abruptly ended his racing progression.

This turning point marked the start of a new adventure. Romain turned his passion into a profession: mechanic, tester for the specialist press, product manager, then brand founder. He founded Lone Bicycles and HxR Components, and took part in co-developing products for several European brands. A rare expertise, combining field experience, design, innovation and a deep understanding of the bike.

Today, Romain puts this experience to work for a simple idea: creating MTB components designed for riding enjoyment, real performance and useful innovation. A vision born on the trails, shaped by years of riding, encounters and development.

A technical vision serving your riding

HXR Components was born from more than 20 years of passion, experience and mountain biking, with a clear ambition: to design components that make sense, as demanding in their design as they are effective on the trail.

The HXR vision is built on a desire to shake up MTB standards by imagining different, simple solutions that are genuinely useful to riders. Every product is developed as a balance between innovation, reliability, efficiency and design, never losing sight of the feel and the demands of the trail.

From the first sketch to real-world testing, the trail remains at the heart of the HXR approach. This philosophy is reflected in innovations such as Easy Shift, designed to bring new technical solutions and move the riding experience forward.

More than a range of components, HXR stands for a committed vision of mountain biking: creating differently, testing without compromise and innovating to ride better.

Mission: uncompromising quality

HXR Components' mission is to design MTB components that respond concretely to the
needs of the trail. Every product is developed with the same guiding principle: offering innovative,
reliable, durable and easy-to-use solutions, for riders and mechanics alike. In a world where
standards and practices are constantly evolving, HXR favours a multi-standard, adaptable design, in order to
make compatibility, fitting, maintenance and component lifespan easier. The goal: to focus on the essentials and
provide relevant technical answers, without unnecessary complexity. This approach guides every stage of
development, from design to field testing, with the aim of creating products able to adapt to
different bikes, disciplines and riding styles. Exceptional components, built to last and adapt to every
way of riding.

Precision serving passion

At HXR Components, precision and quality are at the heart of every development. To create components able to meet the real demands of mountain biking, every product goes through a rigorous process of design, inspection and field validation.

Prototypes are tested in demanding conditions by Romain and also entrusted to professional riders. Their level of riding pushes the components to their limits and provides essential feedback to fine-tune settings, identify areas for improvement and validate technical choices before going on sale.

This constant interplay between mechanical expertise, innovation and real-world riding allows HXR to develop reliable, precise, high-performance components, designed to support riders for the long term, whatever their level.

Because behind HXR's technical standards, the driving force is always the same: a passion for riding.

Uncompromising manufacturing

To support its growth without ever compromising on quality, HXR Components relies on a close partnership with RadoxX Components. Founded in 2020 and based at the foot of the German Alps, this human-sized company shares the same culture as HXR: a passion for cycling, precision and technical rigour.

Thanks to fully in-house production, RadoxX Components carries out high-precision machining directly in its factory in Germany. This proximity between design and manufacturing guarantees rigorous part tracking, exemplary production consistency and the ability to meet the specific technical requirements of HXR MTB components.

This partnership takes HXR to a new stage in its development, combining agility, technical know-how and production capacity. It paves the way for larger-scale projects, particularly for OEM needs, while keeping the flexibility needed to produce specific parts or custom projects.

A European collaboration built on a shared ambition: to design and manufacture high-performance, precise and durable components, without ever losing the rider spirit that drives HXR.
